Every October, we visit Richland at Gull Meadow Farms to pick out pumpkins, apples and play. This year was extra special because our very own Mr. Tumnus now lives at the orchard and we were missing him so a visit to the Back Forty was required.
The corn maze: We spent 45 minutes in the maze before we gave up from wandering around in circles. We managed to find 3 of the 5 check in stations. It was a lot of fun.
Mr. Tumnus: He is still the most adorable Alpaca. We went to visit him before the orchard got busy. As soon as he heard our voices, he came right over to give us kisses. Later we watched him with the visitors and although he was friendly, he didn't give them the love he gave us (Yes, I hope that he will always love us the best). It seemed so odd to be on the opposite side of the fence from him.
Pumpkins and Apples: It was a beautiful day in the mid-60's.
Family: Today was all about the family and we enjoyed every bit of it. No knitting, no hunting, no school, no sports...nothing but the four of us together enjoying a beautiful day. True once we arrived back home, we spread out to enjoy our own favorite parts of a Sunday but for those few hours it was just us.
