Welcome to Fiber Arts Friday and week two of me knitting my LoveSocks. As always, the second sock in the pair always seems to knit slower for me. Good thing I have a long weekend to spend knitting.
I am very pleased with the socks and the yarn....maybe next Friday I'll have a photo of me wearing both socks. I also cast on The Water's Edge Shawl. So far M1R and M1L (Make 1 Right/Make 1 Left) have been working on. I have a fear of messing them up but they look good...for now. I always forget where to pick up the yarn for the different increase. Why, oh why can't they all be the same.
I also finished plying one of the yarns I shared last week. I think this one will end up in my Etsy Shop of Wonder. It's a Superwash Merino/Nylon/Bamboo blend. Now...share your adventures in Fiber Arts!Fiber Arts Friday !

ReplyDeleteLove those socks! Pretty yarn too!
ReplyDeleteLook at you moving right along on those socks!
ReplyDeleteMy little trick for M1R, is to say "right rear". Might be silly but this way I only have to remember those 2 words and I know to come in from the back of the stitch and that M1L will be the opposite.
Those socks are so cheerful.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason the M1R/L were challenging for me too... I remember it causing me several rip-outs a couple of years ago. Enjoy the weekend.
As always, love your spinning projects!! The heart on the sock is too cute.
ReplyDeleteThat is some kind of color on those socks! And you already know I love that handspun. Have a great, fibery weekend.

ReplyDeleteAre you using two circulars? I would love to learn how to do that, since doing socks on dpn's was such a struggle for me.
Did you teach yourself or take a class?
